With beautiful weather hoped for and guaranteed entertainment planned, the 32nd Annual Red Hills Festival in downtown Louisville for Memorial Day weekend May 25 and May 26 promises to be a need to attend event according to Winston County Chamber director Linda Skelton. “We have some great entertainment lined up and will have offerings for most anyone,” said Skelton. The festival will feature a fun run, car show, carnival, vendors and a stage full of entertainment. The carnival will be downtown starting Thursday night and running through Saturday. The Red Hills Festival will kick off Friday night as vendors set up and a band entertains downtown while any one may “get a little groove going” on the blocked off streets in front of the stage. Saturday will be full of activities with the annual Red Hills Car Show along with various street vendors. For the third year in a row the Junior Auxiliary of Louisville will host a 5K and Fun Run in the morning of the festival. Also all county churches and communities are invited to be part of the Louisville Homecoming that Saturday which recently held a planning meeting in hopes of drawing even more visitors “back home”.
