The LHS ladies’ softball team had its share of ups and downs over the past week with a win and some tough losses. The Lady Wildcats hosted the Houston Lady Hilltoppers on Mar. 27 in a division matchup. Both teams played well, but in the end the Lady Hilltoppers would clinch a 3-1 victory on the road. Up next for the Lady Wildcats was another home game against Caledonia in division play on Mar. 29. The Lady Wildcats were seeking a win after Tuesday’s tough loss, and found it against the Lady Confederates by a score of 3-1. Louisville then traveled to Neshoba Central on Mar. 30 to face the Lady Rockets in a non-division contest. The Lady Wildcats could not get their bats going against the Class 5A powerhouse, and were defeated 13-4. Up next for the Lady Wildcats is a trip to Noxubee Co. on Apr. 2, followed by another trip to Kosciusko on Apr. 3.
