Winston County Chiefs Sign-Up Day
Powerhouse Youth Football Association Early Registration for the Winston County Chiefs 2012 Fall Football Season is now open for sign up. Early registration dates are thru March 15, 2012. The staff members will be at the Eiland Middle School Field on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be 25 available spots for each team, which consists of 7 & 8, 9 & 10, 11 & 12 year old players. The early registration fee is $80 per child, ½ price for second child in the same household, and FREE Spring Practices are included with early registration. Fourth Anniversary set for March 10
Endtime Sanctuary UPC will be celebrating their fourth year anniversary. Meet Congressman Nunnlee March 12
The Winston County Federation of Republican Women and the Winston County Republican Club invite all residents to come and meet United States Congressman Alan Nunnelee at a meet and greet reception. Under the recently approved Congressional Redistricting Plan, Winston County in its entirety is now a part of Mississippi Congressional District 1 represented by Nunnelee. The meeting will be held at the Strand Theater in downtown Louisville on Monday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. Congressman Nunnelee resides in Tupelo and, prior to being elected to Congress, served 17 years in the Mississippi Senate.

1st Annual PCA Rodeo March 23, 24
Rafter-L Rodeo Company from Philadelphia will present their 1st Annual PCA Rodeo at the Louisville Coliseum on March 23 and 24, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and rodeo starting at 7:30 p.m. General admission for the event will be $10, with children 8 years and under receiving free admission. 10% of these proceeds will go to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. An After Rodeo Party will take place at the Shriner’s Building on 3305 Hwy 15. The after party will include performances by Rico & the Border Patrol on Friday night, and Southbound on Saturday night. Volleyball League begins March 27
Enrollment for the Volleyball League sponsored by Eric Davis will begin at the Louisville Coliseum on March 27 at 6 p.m. Deadline for entry will be March 27. The season will begin on March 29 and will end on May 3. Entry fee for the league will be $100 per team, consisting of 8 player teams (please provide your team’s roster). Games will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday’s at 6, 7, and 8 p.m. Games will be best 2 out of 3, and the score will be to 15. A tournament will be held after the season on May 5 starting at noon-until. 1st place winner will receive a trophy and 8 tees. 2nd place winner will receive a trophy. Triad Council Meeting March 27

Triad is the agreement of Law Enforcement Agencies in the County and older or retired persons in the community working together to reduce the criminal victimization of the elderly and the disabled persons in the county. Triad works to reduce crime for everyone.

Habitat for Humanity items for sale
Winston County Habitat for Humanity has signed Gail Pittman Christmas ornaments and plates for sale at the Silver Goose and Habitat cookbooks for sale at the Winston County Library.
The Habitat for Humanity is also seeking board members with construction and other knowledge to help advise on the present home building project
