Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred L. Chandler, 95, were held at 3:00 p.n. Thursday May 16, 2013 at Weir Baptist Church with Reverends Mark Mayo and Jim Ray officiating.  Burial followed in the Weir Cemetery.

A native of Ripley TN, formerly of Weir, Mrs. Chandler, was a homemaker.  She was a member of Weir Baptist Church.  She was born in Mississippi on September 29, 1917 and died at Asbury Cove Assisted Living Center in Ripley TN on May 13, 2013.

She is survived by three daughters; Ellouise Bane, Debbie Mays, Elaine Phillips, four sons, David Chandler, Don Chandler, Jerry Chandler and Robert Chandler; nineteen grandchildren an thirty-eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Lillie Doris Aldridge Payton will be Friday May 24 at William and Hampton Funeral Home in Louisville from 2:00 pm. until 6:00 p.m.


Niles David Puckett, Attorney, died March 16, 2013 in Denver, Colorado. He will be missed by his parents, Benny Ronald “Ronnie” and Tara Bouchillon Puckett; his sister, Ginger Michelle Puckett; and many relatives and friends.  He was the Grandson of the late Joyce and Jimmie Bouchillon and the late Joel and Flora Puckett, all of Louisville, Mississippi. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 607 University Drive in Starkville at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 25th. The service will conclude at the St Joseph Columbarium. Donations can be made to the Niles David Puckett Scholarship through the Mississippi State University Development Fund and to the St. Joseph Catholic Church.


Mr. Charles L. Calloway

Funeral Services for Mr. Charles L. Calloway, 74, were held graveside at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at Enon Cemetery.

A native of Choctaw County, MS, Mr. Calloway was a self-employed Construction Worker.  He served in the United States Marine Corp.

Mr. Calloway was born in Choctaw County MS on July 21, 1938 and died at his residence in Eagle Lake, MS on Tuesday May 14, 2013.

Survivors are,  one son Greg Calloway of Soldotna, Alaska, and two grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Alice Black, 79, were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman.  Burial followed in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.

A native of Mantee, Mrs. Black was a homemaker.  She was a member of Churchroad Baptist Church.

She was born in Payne, MS on February 20, 1934 and died at her residence in Mantee, MS on Tuesday May 14, 2013.

Survivors are, her husband Mr. Selby W. Black of Mantee one daughter Ann Black of Mantee, three brothers; Claude Turman and William Turman of Mantee and Richard Turman of Horn Lake, MS, one sister Rose Evelyn Turman of California

Funeral services for Mr. Earnest Clark were held at 11 AM Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Neshoba Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Collins officiating. Burial was in Church Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clark, 78, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Neshoba County Nursing Home. He was a U.S. Army veteran and an automobile mechanic. Mr. Clark enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Neshoba Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Estelle Clark & Lorena Walker Clark; wife, Helen Marie Clark; brother, Isaac Clark. Mr. Clark is survived by his daughters, Donna Clark of Phila, MS, Linda Brunson of Decatur, MS & Tammy Fox of Union, MS; son, William Clark & his wife, Debra of McCool, MS; sisters, Irene Thompson of Union, MS, Bernice Hoyt of Meridian, MS & Dodie Davidson of Sebastopol, MS; brothers, Oliver Clark of Union, MS, L.C. Clark of Union, MS & Randall Clark of Union, MS; (6) grandchildren; (3) great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers were R.L. Goforth, Lavern Green, Billy Davidson, Carr Arthur,Johnny Wilson, Lavell Harrell & Richard Hamilton.
