Pitch, Hit contest set for April 27

The Winston County Youth Association is proud to announce that it
will be hosting the local Pitch Hit and Run competition on Saturday,
April 27 at 9AM.

This competition is open to all competitors ages 7-12, boys and
girls, and is free to enter. There will be 3 different age groups
(7-8, 9-10, 11-12) and boys and girls will compete separately.

Each competitor will be judged on pitching for accuracy, hitting for
distance and accuracy, and a timed sprint. The winner of the local
competition will move on to the state competition which will be held
in Tupelo next month. After the state competition, there will be a
regional competition and finally a national competition which will be
held in New York during the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in July.

27 at 9:00AM. Registration will take place at the press box at the
