The last three games of the season definitely provided an up-and-down
ride for the Noxapater High School baseball team.
The Tigers dropped a 16-1 road decision to Ethel on Tuesday, then
handily defeated Leake County 19-0 on Friday, before closing out the
season with a 19-0 road loss to Ackerman.
“That was a tough way to end, because it was one of our worst games
of the year,” said Noxapater head coach Casey Orr.
Marshall Kugle had a big game for the Tigers against Leake County,
smashing a pair of three-run homers. Keonte Daniels had two hits and
scored three runs for Noxapater in the game, while Trevara Miller
tossed a one-hitter on the mound.
Daniels and Braden Estes each had a single for Noxapater against
Ackerman on Monday. The Tigers finished the season at 6-14.
