Triplett talks to Pilots about Boy Scouts

by Theresa Bridges

Pilot Heather Thompson and the Patriotism Committee introduced
Philip Triplett, Boy Scout Master of Troop #5 of Louisville at the
recent Pilot Club of Louisville meeting.

Boy Scout Troop #5 is a Louisville-based troop and is one recipient
of the Pilots’ projects and activities. Mr. Triplett informed club
members of the good works of the Scouts and the remarkable number of
Eagle Scouts from this troop. He also mentioned that there are
several more young men in the Troop working toward the Eagle Scout rank.

Pilots are very supportive of this group, as well as the Louisville
Girl Scouts, as we believe they train young people on the right path
to adulthood. Other projects worked on through the year have included
parties at the Care Center, Winston County Nursing Home and Winston
Medical Center Nursing Home, Veterans’ Home, and Noxapater Attendance
Center. In addition, the Pilot Club co-sponsors the Winston County
Woman of the Year and donates money for many non-profit organizations
which are Winston County based and managed.

A business meeting followed with a rehashing of the successful annual
pageant with ideas and suggestions for next year. The Star Spangled
Beauties in the Pageant were all winners with their beautiful dresses
on the star studded stage. Congratulations to all the pretty young
