Library kicks off National Library week

From staff and press reports

The Winston County Library kicked off National Library Week, April 14
through 20, with a luncheon to thank its supports and local officials.

Librarian Beth Edwards honored many library supports and thank ed
them for all their help in so many areas of the library.

As part of the week, the library will be offering a way for any
electronic reading patrons to learn how to read on their mobile
device and borrow books from the library on an e-reader. The mobile
device training program will be held April 17 from 9 a.m. until noon.
Most mobile devices and Tablets can use the e-reading services.
Download books to your e-device free of charge with a Winston County
Library Card.

The next event will be April 19 and will feature Diane Page. Page, a
Tupelo, MS author, will present her two children’s book Bobbs and the
Little Boy and Roy and Roo take a Trip to the Zoo. Page started her
career as an educator in the 1960s. Her program will be from 2 to 5 p.m.
