While rain washed out two of the baseball games Nanih Waiya was
expecting to play last week, the Warriors took care of business when
they were able to take to the diamond, posting a solid 11-3 home win
over West Lowndes last Thursday.
“It was pretty close for the first three or four innings, but we did
what we were supposed to do and took care of business,” said Nanih
Waiya head baseball coach Tyler Rogers. “It just took us a little
while to get cranked up.”
NW broke the game open with four runs in the fifth and then added
four more in the sixth.
This week the 9-2 Warriors were set to host French Camp on Tuesday,
before visiting Noxapater on Thursday for a 6 p.m. contest.
Colby Eaves blasted a homer and a single for Nanih Waiya against West
Lowndes, while Ty Higginbotham and Luke Rosamond had a pair of hits
each. Rosamond also picked up the win on the mooned, striking out 10
