Firefighters douse fire downtown

From press reports

A downtown Louisville building suffered fire damage Monday, February 4.

Monday morning at 4:14 AM Louisville Fire Department responded to a fire at 119 South Church Street with a call from the Louisville/ Winston County 911.

The cinderblock structure which was a vehicle washing and detailing business had flames and smoke inside a car bay area. A vehicle being stored inside the structure is believed to be the point of origin for the fire at the business.

Louisville Firefighters gained entrance through a back entrance and extinguished the fire quickly, preventing a second vehicle from being involved in the fire. The building sustained some fire and heavy smoke damage but is considered repairable. No one was injured and the structure was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

The County Fire Investigator was called and the fire is under investigation at this time.
