Reed elected to statewide board office

At the recent 2013 Election Commissioners Conference for the State of Mississippi, Mary Reed, current Election Commissioner District 5 of Winston County, was elected to the Board of Directors for their Statewide Association.

Reed was elected to Represent District 1 with two others. This district represents a 22 county area including Winston County.

Serving along with Reed will be a total of four districts with 3 directors in each district.

Reed has served as Winston County Election commissioner now for 21 years.

The primary responsibility of election commissioners are to serve its county voters by ensuring proper voting records are maintained on its residents and to ensure a seamless voting experience on election dates.
