The Fortnightly Club of Louisville met at Lake Tiak O’Khata on January 10 in the New Year of 2013. Hostesses for the meeting were Mrs. J. E. Calloway and Mrs. T. L. Kirkpatrick. Bud vases of yellow and red tulips on the tables were reminders of spring’s pretty blooms to come on the heels of winter.
The Rev. Mike Dowd was the featured speaker and he focused on the many avenues and organizations our community supports to bring about improvements to our community and it’s people. He urged more involvement by citizens to give of their time and efforts for the success of these projects and organizations.
After Joyce Kirkpatrick read a devotional with an enlargement and paraphrasing of the 23rd Psalm refreshments were served. President Grace Eaves presided at the business meeting. The Pledge of Allegiance was made and the members advised of the next meeting to be held on February 14
