Christmas Program held at Winston County HeadStart

Winston Count Head Start held its Christmas Program on Thursday, Dec. 20 with their pre-schoolers entertaining family and friends with Christmas songs and poems.

Special guests welcoming the audience were Regional Administrator Dean Miller and members of the Headstart County Council.

Members of the Headstart County Council which is a group of community members who aim to help Headstart succeed for all children. The council members recently held its first project and awarded two bicycles to two students at the school. The two winners were Darius Moore and LaKeandria Daniels. Members of the council presenting the bikes were Ralph Goss, Julia Walker, Laura Eichelberger, Christie Moore, and Lonnie Wraggs. Members not present were Pearlean McReynolds and Sylvia Sims.

Miller extended a welcome and thanked parents for their continued involvement with their children.

The Christmas program included all the classes presenting different Christmas songs and poems.

The program included: Jingle Bells; a reading of children’s favorite holiday; candy canes; twinkle twinkle Christmas star; We Wish you a Merry Christmas; Silver Bells; Dear Santa; The night Christ was born; Jesus, Jesus, Jesus; and other Christmas favorites.
