Coalition holds meeting to help the build stronger communities

The Building Strong Families (BSF) quarterly coalition meeting was held Friday at Lake Tiak O’Khata in Louisville.

The crowd of 32 people included community leaders from Oktibbeha, Choctaw and Winston Counties. The coalition was created to provide leadership and guidance for the grant-funded BSF project and help the program to directly connect to the communities in the three counties served by the grant. BSF is a marriage education project specifically designed to help strengthen marriages thereby strengthening the community.

Dr. Joan Butler and the entire staff of Family Centered Programs invite the residents of Oktibbeha, Winston, and Choctaw Counties to take advantage of the many classes being offered through the Building Strong Families (BSF) project such as parenting, how to manage your money, career exploration and marriage and mentoring. Family Centered Programs is a division of the Starkville School District, located at 307 South Jackson Street-Green Street Entrance in Starkville, Mississippi. For more information on becoming involved or hosting the programs contact Project Manager, Dr. George Miller at 662-615-0033.
