Mrs. Marlene Lucas Hunt Funeral services for Mrs. Marlene Lucas Hunt, 77, were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday Nov. 8, 2012 at Salem Independent Methodist Church near Ackerman, MS. Rev. Tim Long officiated. Burial followed in Salem Independent Methodist Church Cemetery.

A resident of Starkville, MS. Mrs. Hunt was a disabled woman. She was a member of Salem Independent Methodist Church.

Mrs. Marlene Lucas Hunt died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at North MS Medical Center in Eupora, MS. She was born November 9, 1934.

Survivors include sons, Kerry Hunt of Starkville, MS; brothers, Renford Lucas of Winona, MS; sisters, Linda Whitaker of Eupora, MS. Family suggests Memorials to Salem Independent Methodist Church.

Mrs. Annie Mae Morgan Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Mae Morgan, 92, were held 10:00 a.m., Saturday Nov. 17, 2012 at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church near Sturgis, MS. Rev. Jeff Morgan; Gary Robertson officiated. Burial followed in Morgan Chapel Cemetery.

A resident of Sturgis, MS. Mrs. Morgan was a Housewife. She was a member of Morgan Chapel Church near Sturgis, MS. Mrs. Annie Mae Morgan died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. She was born October 29, 1920 in Choctaw County, MS.

Survivors include sons, Charles Morgan of Sturgis, MS; Larry Morgan of Little Rock, MS; daughters, Peggy Coleman of Sturgis, MS; Bobbie Livingston of Sturgis, MS; Joy McMinn of Sturgis, MS. 20 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren. Mr. Sollie Cox Funeral services for Mr. Sollie Cox, 77, were held 2:00 p.m., Saturday Nov. 17, 2012 at Mt. Calvary M.B. Church. Rev. Dr. Michael C. Taylor Jr. officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary M.B. Church Cemetery. A resident of Louisville, MS.

Mr. Cox was retired from Chrysler Motor Corporation. He was a member of Mt. Calvary M.B. Church in Louisville; MS. Mr. Sollie Cox died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at his home at 846 Mt. Calvary Church Rd. in Louisville, MS. He was born August 2, 1935 in Sunflower County, MS.

Survivors include daughters, Pamela Cox of Terry, MS; Johnnie Belinda Williams of Lithonia, GA; Vanessa Norman of Meridian, MS. sons, Troy Donahue Cox of Castro Valley, CA; Jamie Lee Tompkins of Fort Wayne, IN. 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, many nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Debora Faye Collier Logan Lee Funeral services for Mrs. Debora Faye Collier Logan Lee, 61, were held 1:00 p.m., Sunday Nov. 18, 2012 at New Prairie Grove M.B. Church. Rev. Sam Bonner Sr. officiated. Burial followed in New Prairie Grove M.B. Church Cemetery.

A resident of Oktibbeha County, MS. Mrs. Lee was a retired Cook from Harvey. She was a member of New Prairie Grove M.B. Church of Starkville; MS. Mrs. Debora Faye Collier Logan Lee died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. She was born December 26, 1950 in Oktibbeha County, MS.

Survivors include husband, Jerry Lee of Starkville, MS, daughters, Charlene Lee of Tampa, FL. sons, Mallory Logan of St. Mary’s, GA; John Logan Jr. of New Orleans, LA; Terry Lee of Nashville, TN; Erick Lee of St. Louis, MO. sisters, Lynette Johnson of Starkville, MS. 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 8 sister in laws, 6 brother in laws and a host of friends. Miss Kenyatta LaShay Vaughn Funeral services for Miss Kenyatta LaShay Vaughn, 31, were held 11:00 a.m., Sunday Nov. 18, 2012 at Still Valley M.B. Church. Elder Jameson Eichelberger officiated. Miss Kenyatta LaShay Vaughn died from Cardiac Arrest Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA. She was born July 6, 1981 in Louisville, MS. Survivors include father, William Thomas, mother, Nellie Vaughn, sons, Jercarous Stephens, Jaylin McCray, Jeremiah McCray and Jacob Vaughn; sisters, Lakeesha Ingram, Tomecka Eichelberger, Veronica Vaughn, Thomasina Vaughn, and Nichole Thomas; brother, Cedric Vaughn; grandparents, Emmitt and Nellie Vaughn, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends. Ms. Hickman was a Homemaker. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Louisville; MS. Miss Ms. Mrssie B. Hickman died from Cardiac Arrest Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at home in Louisville, MS. She was born September 7, 1925 in Louisville, MS.

Survivors include daughters, Edna Manson of Chicago, IL; Mary Hickman and Lonnie Hickman both of Louisville, MS. sons, Ira Hickman, of Louisville, MS. sisters, Marie Clark of Rochester, NY; brothers, James Barfield of Nicolas, GA. 4 grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives Beck Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Kendra Kaye Martin Funeral Services for Ms. Kendra Kaye Martin will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2 PM from Lighthouse Church with Rev. Tom Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Martin, 30, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Pearl, MS. She was a 2000 Graduate of Wingfield High School in Jackson and she enjoyed singing and dancing. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Charlene Martin.

Ms. Martin is survived by her parents, Margie Martin of Philadelphia and Jerry Martin of Pearl, MS; daughters, Madison Yates and Audrie Moore, both of Philadelphia; sister, Candace Gray of Philadelphia; brother, Chris Martin of Pearl; and grandfather, Kenneth Dorman of Carthage.

Mr. Rasse Dobbs Mr. Thomas Rasse Dobbs, 89, passed away on November 12, 2012, at his residence in Dubach, Louisiana, surrounded by his family. Visitation was Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in the Nowell- Massey Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday with Rev. Bill Reid officiating. Interment followed in Blythe Creek Cemetery in Choctaw County.

Mr. Dobbs was born on June 9, 1923, to Joe and Ruth Blassingame Dobbs. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Ruston, Louisiana, and a retired salesman for Jarvis Oil Company of Louisville. He answered the call of his country during World War II by serving in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue Dobbs of Ruston, Louisiana; his step-daughter, Barbara Blanton of El Paso, Texas; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Mann, Tyler Mann, Gino Palmieri, John Skelton, and Richard Mann. The family requests that memorials be given to the American Cancer Society, c/o Penny’s From Heaven, 532 East Main Street, Louisville, MS 39339.

Mr. Cody Collins Mr. Cody Collins, 20, passed away on November 9, 2012, in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation was Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Nowell- Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 11, 2012, with Rev. Mason Joy officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cody was born on September 19, 1992. He attended East Louisville Baptist Church and was a second year student majoring in Collision Repair Technology at East Central Community College.

He is survived by his parents, Dale and Tracy Collins; his brothers, Chase Collins and Caden Collins all of Louisville; his grandparents, Ken and Marion Collins of Noxapater, Mississippi, and Dot Brannon Thiel of Louisville; and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Chase Collins, Caden Collins, Tristen Stanley, Jake Thompson, Cameron Nowacki, Brad Cook, Tyler Tanksley, and Josh Thompson.

Mr. Norris D. Ward

Mr. Norris D. Ward, 87, passed away on November 11, 2012, in the State Veteran’s Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Visitation was Tuesday, November 13, 2012, from 9 a.m. until service time at Nowell- Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, with Rev. Billy Bowie officiating. Interment will followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Ward was born on August 29, 1925, to Earl and Ethel Cannon Ward. He was a member of First Baptist Church and he answered the call to serve his country in the Marine Corp during World War II. He retired as a rural mail carrier after 37 years of service with the United States Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ouida Ward of Louisville, Mississippi; his sister, Earline Martin of Lucedale, Mississippi; his brother, Henry Ward of Shreveport, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Etoil Ward.

Pallbearers will be Gary Mayo, Jeremy Cummins, Gary Hillhouse, Grady Jackson, Bobby Shields, Joey Partridge and Larry King.

Mr. J.B. Jackson

Mr. J. B. Jackson, 81, passed away on November 7, 2012, in the State Veteran’s Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Visitation was Saturday, November 10, 2012, from 10 a.m. until service time in the Nowell- Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 10, 2012, with Rev. Norman Sanders and Rev. Mike Miles officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville.

Mr. Jackson was born on March 22, 1931. He was a member of the Assembly of God faith and was a retired self-employed truck driver.

He is survived by his son, Randy Jackson of Louisville, Mississippi; his sisters, Wilma and Paul Snow of Philadelphia, Mississippi, and Otis and Sonny Tolbert of Brandon, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Jacob Keith Jackson, Maggie Grace Jackson, and Thomas Ray Jackson; and his former daughter-in-law, Brandi Hodge Jackson Provius of Aberdeen, Mississippi.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Jackson; his parents, William B. and Nannie Louise Crabtree Jackson; three brothers, B. P. Jackson, C. B. Jackson, and W. B. Jackson; and two sisters, Eunice Young and Sarah Vowell.
