Triad Luncheon Nov. 14 The Winston County Triad Pre-Thanksgiving Luncheon will be Wednesday, November 14, at the Extension Office on Vance Street. Lunch will be served at 11:00 a.m. All members are asked to bring can goods, and other non-perishable items. These items will be donated to a local food pantry. The Public is invited. The Greenes in concert Nov. 15 Thanksgiving singing with The Greenes on Thursday, November 15 at 7 pm at the Ackerman Church of God, located at 8162 Hwy. 12 West, Ackerman. A love offering will be received.

WMC Relay for Life Bake Sale Nov. 16 The Winston Medical Center Relay for Life Team will be having a bake sale on November 16 in the front lobby of the hospital beginning at 7:30 A.M. Special orders will be taken for the Brooksville Bakery. The deadline to place an order for the bakery is November 12. There will also be a assortment of cakes, pies, and other various baked goods on site. Mt. Pisgah Church 127 years Celebration Nov. 18 The Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church will celebrate its 127 years Church Anniversary, on November 18, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Mack Young of Mt. Zion M.B. Church of Brookville, MS. There will be a Pre-Thanksgiving meal served following the program in the Fellowship Hall. Guided trail walk Nov. 17 The Friends of Noxubee Refuge will hold a guided trail walk of the Watson Trail ˆ on Saturday November 17 at 9:00 a.m. Meet at the Visitor Center parking lot, Wear sturdy shoes, and bring bug spray.

Mt. Moriah dedication Nov. 18 Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Louisville will hold its Dedication Service on Sunday November 18, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. Dr. Marvin K. Myles, pastor of Christian Liberty Missionary Baptist Church of Kosciusko, Mississippi will deliver the Dedicatory Message. Dr. Benjamin M. Pittman is the pastor. Everyone is invited to attend.

Republican women to meet Nov. 20 The November meeting of the Winston County Federation of Republican Women will be Tuesday, November 20, 12 noon at Lake Tiak O’Khata. State Representative Joey Hood will be the guest speaker. All members and friends are invited to attend.

Haynes benefit program Nov. 25 There will be a benefit program for Aline Haynes on Sunday, November 25 at 3:30 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church . Haynes will be having a hip replacement surgery in December. The special guest choir will be second baptist church gospel choir from Starkville, along with other choirs and soloists. Christmas Angel Tree Packets The Junior Auxiliary of Louisville has the Christmas Angel Tree Packets at the Winston County Library. AA Meets Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January 2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.
