Winston Academy Veterans Day Program Nov. 9 Winston Academy is having its annual Veterans Day Program. The Guest Speaker is Major Ringer from the Columbus Air Force Base. The program starts at 9:00 A.M. on Nov.9. All veterans are invited to attend.

Veterans Appreciation Day November 9 Renasant Bank will Honor our Military Service Men and Women on Friday November 9th from 9:00 to 2:00. Please come by and celebrate.

Boston Butt Sale Nov. 10 Lobutcha Volunteer Fire Department will be having a Boston Butt sale and Stew Supper Saturday, November 10, 2012 from noon until 6 p.m. Boston Butts are available for pre-sale at $25 each. Stew will be available for take out or eat in. Stew prices are $5 for eating in, $10 for a 1/2 gallon, and $20 for a gallon. Please bring containers for takeout stew. Christmas Angel Tree Packets The Junior Auxiliary of Louisville has the Christmas Angel Tree Packets at the Winston County Library. Excel By 5, Love of Learning Everyone is invited to join us for an Excel By 5 meeting on Monday, November 12th, at 6:00 p.m., at the Winston County Extension Office as we take the next step to grow a community that boosts crucial early-childhood learning. Joining us on November 12th will be Bob Clay, Executive Director, and Gabrielle Phillips, Sites Coordinator for Excel By 5. This project involves the entire community.

Benefit set for David Edwards Nov. 10 There will be a benefit for David Edwards (Chief Deputy Winston County) to help with expense for a liver transplant on November 10 from 12-6pm at the Louisville Coliseum, Ivy Avenue. Live music and singing, jumpers for the kids, face painting, buggy rides, womanless beauty review, cake auction, bbq plates, bbq sandwiches, hotdogs, chicken plates, popcorn, drinks. Triad Luncheon Nov. 14 The Winston County Triad Pre-Thanksgiving Luncheon will be Wednesday, November 14, at the Extension Office on Vance Street. WMC Relay for Life Bake Sale Nov. 16 The Winston Medical Center Relay for Life Team will be having a bake sale on November 16 in the front lobby of the hospital beginning at 7:30 A.M. Special orders will be taken for the Brooksville Bakery. The deadline to place an order for the bakery is November 12. There will also be a assortment of cakes, pies, and other various baked goods on site. Mt. Pisgah Church 127 years Celebration Nov. 18 The Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church will celebrate its 127 years Church Anniversary, on November 18, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Mack Young of Mt. Zion M.B. Church of Brookville, MS. There will be a Pre-Thanksgiving meal served following the program in the Fellowship Hall. Mt. Moriah dedication Nov. 18 Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Louisville will hold its Dedication Service on Sunday November 18, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. Dr. Marvin K. AA Meets Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January 2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.

Walking in Wellness Winston County Self Help Cooperative in conjunction with the Diabetes Coalition is Walking in Wellness every Saturday 9AM to 10AM at Ivy Park. Come out and take charge of your health.

The Winston County Paparazzi The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. The meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at the MSU Extension Office. in Louisville at 6pm and are open to everyone.
