Mrs. Joyce Ann Hathorn July 15, 2012 Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Ann Hathorn, 78, were held at Oak Grove No. 2 M.B. Church in Louisville on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. Rev. Anthony Thames officiated. Burial at Memorial Garden in Louisville.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Hathorn was a homemaker. Mrs. Hathorn was a member of Oak Grove #2 M.B. Church. Mrs. Hathorn died on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at her residence in Louisville.

Survivors include daughters, Allie Lyons, Betty Grant, Margaret Maury, Lisa Ingram, all of Louisville; sons, Roger Hathorn, Muldrew Hathorn, Laurence Hathorn, Bernard Hathorn, Leo Hathorn, Cleo Hathorn, all of Louisville; sisters, Pattie Jean Hopkins, Jessie Hoskins, both of Louisville, Betty Eiland of Detroit, MI; brothers, Elder Alex Smith, Reginald White, both of AR, Bobby W. White of Detroit, MI, Bobby Joe White of Louisville; 28 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.

Ms. Jimmie Lou Henderson July 21, 2012 Funeral services for Ms. Jimmie Lou Henderson, 95, were held at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Ackerman on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. Rev. Doug Herring officiated. Burial at Mt. Nebo Methodist Cemetery near Ackerman.

A native of Choctaw County, Ms. Henderson was a retired teacher. Ms. Henderson died on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman.

Survivors include sons, Douglas Henderson of Weir, James Neal Henderson of Ackerman, Jimmy Hugh Henderson of Ackerman, Ralph Henderson of Tupelo, Thomas Henderson of Tupelo, William Henderson of Flintstone, GA; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. Ms. McQueen was a member of Center Ridge M.B. Church. Ms. McQueen died on Monday, July 16, 2012.

Mi’Kayla Lanae Roberson July 16, 2012 Funeral services for Mi’Kayla Lanae Roberson, 2, were held at Still Valley M.B. Church in Louisville on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. William Haynes officiated. Burial at Pilgrim Rest.

Roberson died on Monday, July 16, 2012.

Rev. Davie Miller July 16, 2012 Funeral services for Rev. Davie Miller, 93, were held at Union Chapel M.B. Church in Louisville on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 12 p.m. Rev. Bill J. Clay & Apostle Greg Davis officiated.

Rev. Miller was a retired minister. Rev, Miller was a member of Union Chapel M.B. Church.

Rev. Miller died on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Winston County Nursing Home.

Survivors include daughters, Lula Jamison of Mt. Morris, MI, Elaine Hobson of Louisville; son, Marvell Miller of Louisville; brother, Jimmie Miller of Clearwater, FL; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ruth Burkes, 89, passed away on Friday, July 20,2012 at Choctaw Residential Center. She was born in Phila, MS on October 8, 1922. She lived in the Arlington Community most of her life. Mrs. Burkes was a retired clerk. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing & cooking. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.

Mrs. Burkes was preceded in death by her parents,Samuel Luther Breazeale & Mary Frances “Mittie” Burks Breazeale; sisters, Eula Adcock, Eunice Mays & Margie Carpenter; brothers, Weldon Breazeale & Denson Breazeale.

Mrs. Burkes is survived by her husband, Hayes Burkes; son, Bryant Burkes and his wife, Bettye; grandchildren, Britta Cox & her husband, Bill, Brigit Burkes & Bo Burkes & his wife, Lindsey; (6) great- grandchildren, Carrigan Cox, Loralee Cox, Connor Cox, Sam Cox, Hayes Burkes, Jones Burkes & several nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers are Stanley Breazeale, Travis Dorman, Dewayne Breazeale, Jackson Breazeale, Ricky Walker and Johnnie Nolan.

Mary Frances Parker

Services for Mrs. Mary Frances Wilson Parker were held at 11 AM Friday, July 20, 2012 at John E. Stephens Chapel in Philadelphia with Rev. Dennis Duvall and Rev. Chris Vowell officiating. Burial was in Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation was 5-9 PM Thursday, July 19, 2012 at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services.

Mrs. Parker, 76, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was raised in the Spring Creek Community. She lived in Noxapater, Louisville and Philadelphia, making Philadelphia her home. Mrs. Parker was retired from TRW Seatbelt Factory of Louisville, MS. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Philadelphia.

Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Percy Wilson and Lucy Bell Coats Wilson; sister, Sylvia Taylor; brother, Arthur Jay Wilson.

Mrs. Parker is survived by daughters, Burndean Tollison of Meridian, MS and Belender (Mack) Sue Moore of Union, MS; sister, Barbara (Red) Vaughn of Gluckstadt, MS; brothers, Charles (Pearl) Wilson of Forest, MS and Earnest (Hoy Lee) Wilson of LaPlace, LA; (3) grandchildren, Kevin Tollison, Michael Moore and Leigh Ann Tollison; great- grandchildren and former spouse, Dock Parker of Philadelphia, MS. Mrs. Mary Arrietta Spears Taylor

Mrs. Mary Arrietta Spears Taylor, 93, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 18th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Don Ray officiating and eulogy by Speedy Calvert. Interment was in East County Line Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor was born January 30, 1919, in Leake County, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of East County Line Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Taylor; her parents, George and Supelia Spears; a son, Jerry “Red” Taylor; a son-in-law, Bill Nelson; 5 sisters, Ima Cummins, Verneal Burchfield, Lucille Norris, Georgia Spears, and an infant sister; and two brothers, Doyle L. Spears and Riley E. Spears.

She is survived by two daughters, Joanne (Lanoy) Adcock of Philadelphia, MS, and Jannette Nelson of Brandon, MS; daughter-in- law, Monica Taylor of Louisville; a sister, Iora Lavergne of Sturgis, MS; a foster son, Roger (Phyllis) Gillett of Louisville; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Nathan Calvert, Lucas Calvert, Colin Nelson, Drew Breland, Lafayette Spears, and Larry Nelson. Honorary Pallbearers are Joey Nelson, Andy Breland, and David Sims.
