Rotary hopes to sponsor group study exchange to Australia

The Louisville Rotary Club in conjunction with the Rotary Clubs of Central Mississippi are sponsoring a group study exchange to New South Wales, Australia in October of 2012.

The program aims to get local outstanding professionals to visit Australia for vocational, social and cultural learning opportunities. The Rotary Clubs will pay for airfare, meals, lodging, and transportation.

The exchange team will be lead by an Australian Rotarian and will share a unique culture visit.

The application deadline is Friday, June 15, 2012 with committee interviews and selections scheduled after the deadline.. Exchanges are open to all who work or reside in District 6820, provided they are not an immediate family member of a Rotarian. Applicants must be least 25 years old and no more that 40 at the time of their application.

The GSE program is a cultural exchange where a Rotarian and four business people from two Rotary districts world wide visit each other’s home districts and learn about their culture.

The Rotary Club of Louisville meets each Wednesday at noon at Lake Tiak O’Khata and welcomes person seeking membership information about the club. The Louisville Club was established in 1926.
