Four residents receive Farm Bureau scholarships

Four graduating Winston Countians recently received Farm Bureau Scholarships.

The Farm Bureau group, annually recognizes outstanding students for their academic effort, engagement in their communities and career interests.

“Congratulations to the following winners of the Winston County Farm Bureau Scholarships,” said the Farm Bureau staff.

The winners were: Stephen Wallace (Wally) Triplett- Nanih Waiya Attendance Center. Wally is the son of Steve and Janet Triplett and will be entering East Central Community College to obtain a degree as a Surgical Technician. Later he will continue his education with a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Abbie Smith- Louisville High School Abbie is the daughter of Shannon Smith and will be attending East Central Community College to pursue her degree in Speech Pathology.

Paul Maxey Parker- Noxapater Attendance Center Maxey is the son of Kenny Mack and Pam Parker and will be attending East Central Community College and continue his education at Mississippi State University and obtain a degree in Veterinarian medicine.

Nan Hartness- Winston Academy Nan is the daughter of Ricky and Maria Hartness and will be attending East Central Community College and will continue her education in elementary education. After receiving this degree, she wants to work in the field with visually handicapped children.
