There is an opportunity for high school students in Winston County who may be interested in a career in education. This coming school year, the Winston-Louisville Career & Technology Center will be offering a new program called Teacher Academy. This program will include classroom and hands-on experiences that will prepare students for employment or continuing education in various educational fields. Twice a week, students will job shadow local teachers and coaches employed in all school levels and also in day care facilities. If students want to make a difference in the world, they should consider a career in education. The Teacher Academy program will help students develop the skills and knowledge to be a part of this rewarding field. Registration is now open for students to enroll in Teacher Academy. Call 773-6152 for additional information or to register your child for this class. The deadline is May 23, 2012. So call now to possibly start your child on the path to becoming an educator.
