Winston Baptist Association New Ministry May 10 The Winston County Baptist Association will be starting a new ministry as of Thursday, May 10, 2012. This will be an extension site of the Ebenezer Christian Seminary of Meridian. Classes will meet in the conference room of the Winston County Baptist Association at 1001 North Columbus Ave. in Louisville. There will be a mini – museum located in the Winston County Courthouse from 9 am til 2 pm with historical photos, class photos and composites,interesting artifacts and a slide show. The Habitat for Humanity is also seeking board members with construction and other knowledge to help advise on the present home building project The Winston County Paparazzi The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. The meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at the MSU Extension Office in Louisville at 6pm and are open to everyone. Choctaw County Farmers Market The newly organized Choctaw County Farmers Market will kick off Saturday, June 9 at JuneFest in Ackerman! Then, the market will be open June 22, July 13 & 27, August 10 & 24 from 3 pm-7 pm. Location will be at the downtown walking track at the corner of Main Street and Commerce Street in Ackerman. Backwoods Comics Fest set Sept. 29 This week at BUBBAWORLDCOMIX.NET website a different artist is drawing and writing each strip each day in celebration of April Fools Week. The fun thing about this is that each of the six artists that are helping with this will be at the BACKWOODS COMICS FESTIVAL on Sept. 29, 2012 held at the Louisville Coliseum. Some of them will even be part of the panel discussion at the Strand Theater the night before ( Sept. 28 ). These artists range from Web Cartoonists to independent artists and even a couple of them have worked for companies like Marvel & DC.
